Bariatric I-400 Chair

The Barton Convertible I-Series I-400 bariatric chair and accompanying positioning and transfer system (PTS), available separately are designed to allow a single caregiver the ability to transfer and frequently reposition the dependent bariatric patient safely and easily.

The bariatric tasks chairs perform functions of a stretcher, mobile chair, and custom seating. Being able to frequently move and care for the bariatric patient significantly reduces the chance of pressure ulcers and greatly increases the patient’s tolerance for long-term seating.

• Designed to be used in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted-living centers, the I-series chairs offer a multitude of capabilities.
• Comfortable seating and heavy-duty central locking and steering casters allows for easy mobility that is safe to both the patient and care-giver.
• With specialized padding; patient is able to stay in the chair and out of bed for longer durations with reduced risk of pressure ulcers.
• Customized features allow the bariatric wheel chair to be set to the patient: adjustable head, leg and arm rests, side supports, height adjustable.
• Tilt-in-Space capability.
• Trendelenburg position capability.
